Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Patient Enquiries and Booking Team at University College Hospital. It is a Band 3 administrative role focused on supporting patients, carers, referrers and healthcare professionals with responsive, accurate and compassionate service.
The post holder will manage a large volume of contacts through phone and digital communication channels, handle referrals, arrange and coordinate appointments, and provide clear guidance to help patients move smoothly through their care pathway.
By working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the assistant will help maintain efficient patient pathways, keep records accurate and support the timely resolution of queries, all of which contribute to a positive patient experience across the Trust.
Working arrangements
Flexible working can be considered in line with service needs and trust policy. The service operates between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, so the ability to work shifts is required. The role may involve a mix of home and office working.
