Overview

This critical role involves supporting clinical trials by providing expert pharmacy services that enable access to innovative treatments for patients in alignment with study protocols.
Job Purpose
This is a 2-year fixed-term appointment designed to aid a quality improvement project focused on transitioning the Pharmacy Clinical Trials dispensary to electronic health record (EHR) labels via the Epic system. This transition aims to directly link prescriptions to dispensing labels, enhancing patient safety and streamlining operations. The pharmacist will also assist with pharmacy set-up for clinical trials, amendment processes including feasibility assessments, drug and prescription design, commercial trial budget validation, and the creation and review of dispensary guides.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including senior clinical trials pharmacists, technicians, and EHR analysts to deliver the Epic label project.
- Provide pharmacy expertise and support across all UCLH sites to ensure clinical trials comply with Good Clinical Practice and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to clinical trial set-up activities and amendments by assessing feasibility and validating budgets.
- Author and review dispensary guidance to maintain high standards in trial medication management.
