Role Overview

We invite applications for the role of Medical Examiner at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify all inpatient deaths across UCLH and associated hospitals including Royal Marsden, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital, and Camden Community.
• Ensure the accuracy and independence of death examinations and death certification, complying strictly with national guidelines and legal standards.
• Work collaboratively with clinicians, coroners, healthcare providers, and faith leaders to maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Engage sensitively with bereaved families to clarify causes of death and address any concerns compassionately.
• Contribute to clinical governance initiatives, participate in audits, and support training efforts aimed at enhancing death certification procedures and patient safety.
