Position Overview
Erie 1 BOCES invites qualified candidates to apply for the role of a part-time Spanish teacher at South High School located in Williamsville, NY. This position requires valid NYS Certification in Spanish for grades 5-12 and involves delivering classroom instruction while fostering an engaging and flexible learning environment.
Key Responsibilities and Characteristics
- Motivate students and guide them in developing problem-solving skills.
- Create a student-centered and adaptable classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a cooperative team including special education teachers.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction strategies into lesson and unit planning.
- Communicate proficiently both orally and in writing with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
- Plan Regents-level instruction aligned with New York State standards and performance indicators.
- Implement strong classroom management techniques.
- Utilize technology adeptly to enhance classroom learning.

Compensation and Application Details
The position’s salary ranges from $9,440 to $10,740 annually, as stipulated by the WTA contract, and is pro-rated relative to full-time employment. The application deadline is August 5, 2026.
