Position Overview
The Charter School for Applied Technologies (CSAT) invites applicants for the role of Art Teacher as a long-term substitute for the 2026-27 school year, reporting directly to the High School Principal. This role is full-time, on-site, and classified as a non-exempt, per diem position. Certified candidates will receive $200 daily, while non-certified individuals will receive $180 daily.

Core Responsibilities
- Apply school and district policies and uphold CSAT's performance standards within curriculum implementation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address curriculum needs and student requirements.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents and caregivers to support student progress.
- Develop and contribute to curriculum design and instructional methods.
- Incorporate technology effectively into teaching and professional tasks.
- Serve as a mentor or coach for fellow teachers within areas of expertise.
- Differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs by creating a student-centered learning environment.
- Establish clear rubrics for assessing student products and performance.
- Utilize technology tools for lesson planning, instruction, and communication.
- Manage classrooms to foster a secure, creative atmosphere conducive to student growth.
- Participate actively in professional learning communities and continuous professional development.
- Strengthen family-school partnerships to enhance students’ academic and social development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education with required student teaching completed.
- Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience with positive performance evaluations.
- At least three professional references supporting the applicant's qualifications.
- Strong instructional and pedagogical capabilities with excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience working within Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and collaborative team environments.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills as a team player.
