Job description

About the Organization

L'Atelier des petits montessoriens is dedicated to nurturing and awakening children's potential by following the Montessori educational principles. The workshop creates a nurturing, structured environment tailored to each child's pace to promote autonomy, curiosity, and self-confidence. The team collaborates closely with families to provide a consistent and safe educational setting. Becoming part of this organization means contributing actively to the harmonious development of children in a stimulating pedagogical context.

Job Description

As an associate, you will actively engage in the daily operations of the workshop: welcoming children and families, supporting educational activities, and organizing the workspace. You will assist in preparing educational materials, setting up workshops, and monitoring individual children's progress in line with Montessori principles. Your role may also include parent communication, handling some administrative duties, and coordinating with other team members. This is a full-time position based in Antananarivo with a hybrid work model, involving both on-site presence and remote tasks such as content preparation, communication, and administrative follow-up.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A strong interest in Montessori pedagogy and child-centered educational methods, ideally with some experience in educational or community environments.
  • Organizational skills to manage daily activities, including scheduling workshops, tracking children’s development, and handling basic administrative tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by thoughtful and clear communication with children, families, and colleagues, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and adaptable to a hybrid work environment (both onsite and remote) with proficiency in basic digital tools.
  • Proficiency in French, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages or specialized Montessori training is advantageous.
