About the Internship
Dascient Biologicals invites fresh graduates passionate about microbiology and biotechnology to participate in a paid research internship housed at Aspire BioNest, University of Hyderabad. This role provides hands-on experience in various domains including microbiology, biotechnology, aquaculture, and algae research within a professional research environment guided by seasoned scientists.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological techniques such as isolation, culturing, staining, and biochemical evaluations.
- Manage algae cultivation and upkeep spanning freshwater and marine species.
- Conduct diatom isolation, cleaning, enumeration, and maintenance procedures.
- Assess aquaculture water quality and assist with fundamental aquaculture practices.
- Carry out laboratory tasks including microscopy, media preparation, aseptic technique, and proper documentation.
- Engage in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and precise research data reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Aquaculture, or a related discipline.
- Applicants should be freshers, ideally with up to one year of relevant experience.
- Displays a strong enthusiasm for microbiology, algae cultivation, aquaculture, and research laboratory work.
- Motivated self-starter keen on learning in a research setting and contributing to innovative scientific projects.
