About the Role
Join our exceptional Ballarat cluster team and enjoy working across multiple locations including Ballarat Central, Lucas, Creswick, Mount Pleasant, Soldiers Hill and surrounding areas. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to enhance your leadership skills in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) while making a meaningful impact on the community.
Work Details
- Hourly Wage: $47 to $50 plus 12% superannuation.
- Additional Incentive: Receive an extra $2.00 to $2.15 per hour through the Worker Retention Payment Scheme.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with guaranteed shifts on all school days.
- Shift Times: Before School Care runs from 6:45 AM to 8:45 AM, and After School Care from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Location: Work close to your home within Ballarat cluster sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead program planning by developing engaging science experiments, sporting events, educational activities, and creative arts that appeal to children.
- Guarantee a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and confident.
- Prepare healthy and appetizing snacks to maintain children's energy levels throughout care sessions.
- Collaborate with the Programs Engagement Manager and compliance team for assessment and ratings to uphold quality standards.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to develop well-integrated OSHC programs.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the service.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess, or be pursuing, a Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to Early Childhood, Primary Education, School Aged Care, Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent approved qualifications.
- Hold or willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, engaging warmly with children, educators, and school leadership to build trust swiftly.
- Exemplify a positive and proactive attitude within a dynamic work environment.
