We acquire promising companies, immediately grant employees a 10% ownership share, and provide tools like proprietary software, education, financial products, and exceptional leadership support to facilitate growth. Our goal is to build a network of 10,000 employee-owned businesses, generating $10 billion in stock wealth for workers and supporting retiring business owners. This initiative also aims to reduce wealth inequality and sustain vital local businesses and their communities.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial business leader to become the Small Business President/CEO of a Teamshares-affiliated restaurant company with two locations in the Palm Springs, CA metro area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume CEO-level responsibility for a multi-unit full-service restaurant business.
- Develop and execute company strategy, oversee operations, and manage full profit and loss accountability.
- Lead and collaborate with a skilled team of existing employee owners.
- Partner with the bookkeeper to make strategic financial decisions, optimize expenses and capital investment, and establish meaningful business metrics.
- Drive business expansion through marketing initiatives, community outreach, and launching new products and accounts.
- Manage human resources tasks including conflict resolution, performance reviews, raises, and bonuses.
- Evaluate current business procedures, enhancing team growth and development opportunities.
- Engage with the local community and cultivate strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Work alongside Teamshares and shareholders during the transition to employee ownership, fostering an ownership mindset and a positive corporate culture.
- Lead growth-focused initiatives with employee-owners to improve operations and increase revenues.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven experience managing high-volume, multi-location full-service restaurants with operational excellence and efficient staff coordination.
- Strong ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively focusing on urgent issues while advancing long-term goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills facilitating problem-solving and collaborative environments.
- Demonstrated leadership with a low-ego approach and people centric mindset.
- Entrepreneurial drive with a passion for innovation and business building.
- Skilled in project management and problem solving with a proactive and hands-on attitude.
- Strong business understanding and analytical skills to oversee financials and strategy development.
- Committed to continual learning, adaptability, and growth mindset.
- Ability to think creatively and critically with agility, flexibility, and an action-oriented approach.
- Effective at partnering with stakeholders to define vision, KPIs, and strategies towards financial targets.
