Join Lancashire County Council's Early Help Service dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families in the West Lancashire area. This part-time role offers a salary ranging between £25,989 and £28,142 annually, pro-rated based on 29.6 to 37 hours per week.

Role Summary

As a Neighbourhood Group Worker, you will facilitate group sessions and drop-in support aimed at children, parents, and families. Your work will center around designing and implementing activities that address challenges families face, promoting resilience and positive outcomes. Building trusting relationships and providing safe environments for learning are key elements of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging group work sessions and drop-in support to children and families.
• Develop and coordinate programmes focused on health, wellbeing, parenting, and nurturing relationships.
• Establish positive and respectful connections with families to foster supportive learning environments.
• Maintain precise records and uphold safeguarding policies and standards rigorously.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working evenings and occasional weekends to accommodate family needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess at least a Level 2 qualification or significant experience in a related area.
• Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication and group facilitation.
• Understand key issues affecting children and families in the community.
• Show excellent organizational capabilities and communication skills.
• Commit to safeguarding principles, equality, and workplace health and safety.
