Mobile Cleaning Operative (Care)

Position Summary

We are recruiting a dependable and adaptable Mobile Cleaning Operative to deliver high-standard cleaning services across multiple Residential Care Homes and Day Centres throughout Lancashire. This role requires traveling to different sites, maintaining top cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for residents, users, staff, and visitors.

Working Hours and Location

The role is full-time with a 35-hour workweek distributed across various shifts between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM on a rotating basis. The position entails mobility between various care facilities across Lancashire.

Compensation and Allowances

The hourly wage is £13.45, with an additional mileage reimbursement of 55p per mile for business-related travel using personal vehicles.

Key Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in diverse care environments, including communal spaces, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, corridors, and user areas.
• Use equipment and cleaning agents safely according to training and COSHH guidelines to ensure a sanitary workplace.
• Maintain cleaning schedules site-specifically and accurately document cleaning activities.
• Travel across multiple sites and adapt to different settings as operational requirements dictate.
• Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, users, team members, and visitors.

Candidate Profile

Essential qualifications and skills:

• Self-sufficient work approach with strong time and task management.
• Reliable, punctual, and maintains a professional demeanor consistently.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Preparedness and ability to travel extensively across Lancashire.

Preferable experience and knowledge:

• Background in cleaning or domestic service roles.
• Experience in healthcare, residential, or care service environments.
• Understanding of infection control protocols.

• Vehicle business use insurance must be maintained throughout employment.

• This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in compliance with relevant legislation.
