Job Overview
The National Sales Manager will develop and implement strategic plans, maintain and grow key relationships within the foodservice channel, and manage a portfolio of specialty customers. This role emphasizes both managing existing accounts and pursuing new business development to enhance the channel's growth. It offers significant ownership and growth potential, targeting mid-career sales professionals who thrive in a collaborative, competitive, and innovative sales environment.
Location Options
- On-site at Morrisville, VT
- Hybrid within a three-hour driving radius
- Fully remote options in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, or Texas
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a variety of foodservice distributors, operators, specialty customers, and brokers, including broadline distribution, specialty and gift channels, and independent operators.
- Identify and qualify new prospects in the foodservice and specialty sectors, aligning with the broader sales growth strategy.
- Formulate annual strategies for assigned customers, including promotional plans, portfolio modifications, customer visits, and pricing adjustments.
- Analyze pricing and profitability in compliance with company guidelines, implementing necessary price changes annually.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and manage customer pipeline using CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development to launch private label or new branded products.
- Utilize CRM, sales technology, and data analytics to prioritize opportunities and optimize sales efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related discipline.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in CPG sales, ideally as National Sales Manager or Key Account Manager within foodservice, distribution, or specialty channels.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends to inform strategic choices.
- Proficient with CRM software, data analytics tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and enthusiastic about adopting new technologies.
- Financial understanding related to revenue growth, pricing strategies, and profitability.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% for client meetings or trade shows.
