Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking National Registry Officers to join our team in Auckland, with multiple permanent full-time positions available. Initially, roles will be based at the Auckland District Court, with a future relocation planned to Ellerslie in March 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential customer service by engaging with the public on a variety of court-related matters.
- Manage case documentation and ensure that the judiciary and involved parties receive timely and complete information to facilitate the efficient hearing of cases.
- Perform duties as Deputy Registrar of the District Court, including decision-making and processing applications based on relevant legislation.
About the Opportunity
The National Registry Officers form a vital part of the Centralised Services within the Ministry of Justice, supporting courts and tribunals to enable fair and accessible justice. National Registry Services act as the ministry's first contact point for all inquiries, ranging from court hours to jury duty questions and hearing schedules. Each interaction is treated as an opportunity to assist the public with care and respect.

Salary Information
The salary range allocated for this position is $60,729 to $80,794 annually, with the exact amount depending on your experience and skills.
