In this pivotal role, you will drive the growth of a renowned South Australian brand beyond its borders by collaborating with independent retailers nationwide. Your mission will be to strengthen brand presence, foster genuine partnerships, and contribute to commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead growth initiatives for Independent retailers and Multiple Store Operators (MSOs) by securing agreements on range, distribution, promotions, and innovations that create significant commercial value.
- Take ownership of sales budgets and financial forecasting related to Independent and MSO accounts, ensuring effective allocation and maximizing return on investment.
- Transform strategic plans into impactful promotional executions, including off-location activities and in-store activations, ensuring alignment with field implementation and MSO agreements.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships through Joint Business Planning with MSOs, nurturing relationships, and identifying scalable national business opportunities.
- Coordinate effectively with the Field Sales team and National Account Coordinators to maintain clear communication, ensure compliance, and support follow-up activities.
- Provide precise reporting and track compliance metrics to meet and exceed targets related to innovation, distribution, and incremental revenue growth.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced FMCG professional with 7 to 10+ years in sales or account management, specifically managing national or multisite/MSO relationships.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in managing customer budgets, trade spend, forecasts, accruals and understanding key P&L and ROI drivers.
- Proficient in Joint Business Planning, with a history of designing and implementing JBPs that drive sustainable growth, distribution enhancements, and innovation success.
- Skilled in promotion planning and execution, from concept through sell-in and post-event review, producing measurable outcomes.
- Data-driven decision maker with the ability to analyze sales and profitability metrics and convert insights into actions.
- Effective cross-functional collaborator working with Field Sales, Category, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to activate national agreements at the store level.
- Organized, proactive, and disciplined with strong abilities in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while adaptable and commercially curious.
- Passionate about food, flavour, and South Australian heritage, aligning with Beerenberg’s values.
