Role Overview
Join a skilled and collaborative Intelligent Workspace team at Datacom, a leading IT services provider in ANZ, as a Mobility Specialist on a fixed-term contract until January 2027. This role offers the opportunity to advance your technical career while supporting clients with modern managed mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for client mobility environments, monitoring systems, resolving incidents, and implementing changes while adhering to SLAs.
- Travel to client sites, Datacom offices, and conferences as needed.
- Identify inefficiencies in procedures and propose actionable improvements.
- Prepare precise and timely reports concerning service delivery and operations.
- Mentor and train junior staff to enhance overall team competence and knowledge.
- Lead technical aspects of solutions including support for bids, project delivery, proof-of-concept management, and internal training.
- Build and manage customer environments using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SOTI, and configure Apple Business Manager (VPP and MDM servers).
- Follow ITIL methodologies and best practices for changes, releases, and governance across iOS, Android, and Google Chrome OS devices.
- Take technical leadership during major incidents and assist with risk and issue management.
- Ensure accurate time tracking, update call management systems, and maintain documentation of systems and processes.
- Engage proactively with customers to provide timely, professional communication and resolve queries efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively within teams, act as an ambassador of Datacom values, and share knowledge openly.
- Perform after-hours work when necessary for support and project activities.
- Support continuous service improvements and maintain up-to-date usage forecasts and project reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of experience in the IT industry, preferably with an IT managed service provider.
- Minimum two years in a similar mobility-focused role supporting iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Proficiency in enterprise mobility tools such as Microsoft Intune, SOTI, and Google Admin console.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
