Role overview

This position is based in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada and sits within Personal & Commercial Banking. It is a full-time, on-site role with a 37.5-hour workweek. The organization is expanding its mobile mortgage sales team and is looking for strong sales professionals who want to grow a business development career in a major financial institution.

What the role involves

The position focuses on building mortgage business through referrals and developing customer relationships. The role is suited to someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable working independently in a competitive market.

Training is provided to strengthen sales capability and credit knowledge. The successful candidate will also receive support from a Senior District Sales Manager through joint sales calls and monthly coaching, along with access to a dedicated sales management system built for the channel.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop mortgage business through lead generation and referral sources such as realtors, builders, financial planners, and other centres of influence.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales growth.
  • Use a proactive, strategic approach to expand and manage a personal client base.
  • Work within the sales management system to track activity and support results.
  • Participate in targeted sales training to build product knowledge and credit understanding.
  • Collaborate with the Senior District Sales Manager through joint calls and coaching discussions.

Candidate profile

Ideal applicants are self-starters with strong sales ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the confidence to work independently. Experience with retail banking or credit adjudication is an advantage. Post-secondary education is preferred.
