Role overview

This role supports market research efforts focused on producing high-quality, detailed analysis and reports on companies, sectors, financial markets, and economic trends. The position is based in New York, New York, and follows a 40-hour workweek.

The base salary range for this opportunity is USD 120,000 to USD 210,000. Actual compensation may differ depending on skills, experience, role-specific knowledge, location, and broader business needs. What you will do

  • Gather, evaluate, and interpret data to support research coverage of companies, industries, financial markets, and economic developments.
  • Build and maintain financial models, databases, and valuation tools.
  • Help prepare forecast models, including quarterly and annual earnings projections.
  • Support the creation of initiating coverage notes, thematic research, quarterly updates, and marketing materials.
  • Work with senior research leaders on the ongoing publication of reports and assist with special assignments as needed.
  • Stay current on market movements, economic information, sector developments, internal policies, and compliance guidance.
  • Maintain relationships with market participants and may interact with clients and deliver presentations.
  • Provide analysis that helps institutional clients and supports informed decision-making.

Qualifications

An undergraduate degree is required. The employer prefers candidates with a master's degree or PhD. At least 2 years of related experience is expected. FINRA SIE and Series 63, 86, and 87 are required or must be obtained. CFA candidacy or progress toward the designation is preferred for publishing analysts and associates.
