Job description
About the role
In this position, you will support the maintenance and repair work within the company’s internal vehicle fleet and workshop operations in Nordhofen. The role also involves hands-on technical work on a range of vehicles and equipment, including forklifts and electric vehicles, as well as MIG/MAG welding and the upkeep of workshop infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with repairs and servicing of the internal fleet used on site.
- Carry out maintenance and care tasks for the fuel station.
- Perform special modifications on forklifts.
- Service and repair electric vehicles.
- Complete welding tasks using MIG and MAG processes.
- Look after and maintain the full workshop setup and equipment.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an automotive mechatronics technician, automotive mechanic, mechanic, commercial vehicle mechatronics technician, or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience is desirable, especially in maintenance, servicing, and repair work.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Confident handling of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and cutting tools.
- Ability to independently diagnose faults and resolve technical issues on your own.
- Careful documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance work.
- Structured and self-directed working style, including the ability to manage several tasks at the same time.
- Willingness to work occasional extra hours and adapt to flexible working times.
- High reliability, sense of responsibility, initiative, resilience, and openness to further training.
- Team-oriented approach, strong communication skills, ability to cooperate with external service providers, and confidence in handling feedback and conflicts.
