The Philipps-Universität Marburg, founded in 1527 and renowned for its excellent teaching and research, is offering a fixed-term part-time position as a Medical Documentation Specialist within its Faculty of Medicine at the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC). The appointment is for three years starting from September 1, 2026, with working hours between 20 and 24 hours per month, including the possibility of a minijob arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for thorough documentation of studies, clinical registries, and registry studies, particularly concerning cancer diseases with focus on hematologic neoplasms.
- Verifying data for plausibility, validity, and completeness to maintain high quality standards.
- Ensuring consistent quality assurance and control of collected data.
- Extracting data for clinical evaluations.
- Assisting in clinical data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Completed training as a medical documentarist, medical documentation assistant, or an equivalent credential.
- Relevant professional experience in medical documentation concentrating on cancer-related diseases.
- Preferable prior expertise in documenting hematologic neoplasms.
- Proficiency with tumor documentation systems, databases, and common office software tools.
- Good command of medical terminology.
- Strong commitment, reliability, and attention to quality.
- Independent and responsible working style combined with communicative and cooperative team skills.
