Job description
Position Summary
The Medical Representative plays a key role in advocating Julphar’s pharmaceutical products and services to healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and primary stakeholders within a designated sales territory. Acting as a credible advisor, they assist clients in making informed therapeutic choices that satisfy their needs and expectations.
Representing Julphar’s values and maintaining its esteemed reputation, the representative upholds the company’s image through ethical conduct at all times. The position involves pursuing new business prospects, nurturing customer loyalty, and effectively executing the company’s CRM strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve or surpass assigned sales targets within budget and deadlines.
- Manage and develop the assigned territory, including customers, retailers, and other stakeholders.
- Implement the organization's sales and marketing plans in the designated area.
- Execute a territory coverage plan detailing frequency and number of sales calls.
- Coordinate customer-focused initiatives with direct management.
- Maintain comprehensive records including daily reports, customer profiles, and market feedback.
- Organize work schedules and set weekly and monthly agendas.
- Submit daily, monthly, and CRM reports per the country’s reporting guidelines.
- Participate in company meetings and provide updates on territory performance.
- Drive increased revenue and profitability to meet the company's growth objectives.
- Commit to continuous self-learning, skills development, and sharing updated knowledge with healthcare professionals.
Territory Development and Strategy Implementation
- Coordinate audio-visual educational activities for healthcare providers with marketing and line managers.
- Keep updated with the latest clinical data sourced from medical and marketing departments.
- Monitor and report competitor sales and marketing efforts as market intelligence.
- Stay informed about significant localized health service activities.
- Utilize company promotional tools, free medical samples, and services effectively to meet sales targets.
- Maintain prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities continuously.

Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a Science-related field.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration is considered a significant advantage.
- Possess between 2 to 4 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of distributor/agent operations, government accounts, tendering processes, contracts, and pricing strategies relevant to the country.
- Functional clinical knowledge of pharmaceuticals along with a moderate understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, dispensing protocols, and drug distribution channels.
- Proven ability to establish strong collaborative relationships with country teams, marketing, and medical departments at headquarters.
