Overview
The role of the Medical Sales Representative involves maximizing sales performance, driving growth, and expanding account penetration within defined territories or market segments by effectively marketing and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products and related services. This position requires actively engaging new business clients and securing sales opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
- Promote and sell products by establishing and nurturing relationships with both existing and potential customers.
- Demonstrate product features and assist clients in making appropriate selections to meet their needs.
- Build and sustain business relationships within the assigned area to foster new business development.
- Conduct research to identify and evaluate prospective customers and assess their potential.
- Prepare clear, persuasive written proposals and quotations for current and potential clients.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service teams to support sales efforts.
- Analyze the market and territory potential along with customer value to the organization.
- Develop and manage strategic customer value plans covering profiles, market share, and growth opportunities.
- Provide regular verbal and written feedback to management on customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive activity, and opportunities for new products/services.
- Actively participate in relevant conferences and conventions to represent the company and strengthen market presence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or a comparable discipline.
- Minimum of one year professional experience within the pharmaceutical or related sector.
- Strong results-driven approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and contact management systems.
- Possession of a valid driving license is mandatory.
- Outstanding listening and persuasion skills, along with a high degree of ambition and dynamism within a team environment.
- Persistent, dedicated, self-motivated with excellent time and territory management capabilities.
- Demonstrates eagerness to learn and maintain a positive mindset.
