Job description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end medical support for employees of the group across a designated zone or state in Guwahati, Assam. The role covers preventive, promotive, curative, and emergency care, along with coordination of medical services for employees and their families at the workplace and through virtual support where required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Arrange and coordinate comprehensive medical services, including preventive, promotive, curative, and emergency care, for employees in the assigned geography.
  • Offer routine as well as urgent medical treatment to employees and family members at the office location, both in person and virtually.
  • Run the medical centre independently while ensuring emergency and disaster management procedures are followed as per protocol.
  • Work with hospitals, ambulance services, and other emergency medical providers in the zone/state, and assist the corporate medical team in building relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Roll out standardized emergency response practices across the assigned area.
  • Support the corporate medical function in strengthening medical infrastructure and driving wellness programs at the location in line with approved protocols.
  • Execute structured monthly health programs and track their implementation.
  • Evaluate and manage pre-employment health checks and other medical screening activities.
  • Contribute to medical budgeting by ensuring required costs are appropriately planned and captured.
  • Organize first-aid sessions and other employee training programs across the state or zone.
  • Implement occupational health services such as ergonomics and indoor air quality initiatives at the assigned locations.
  • Provide support for ISL, IPL, and other events whenever needed.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly medical reports and carry out internal audits.
  • Engage with state leaders, take part in state leadership meetings, and address medical and health issues concerning key business leaders.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Candidates should have more than 5 years of experience in the medical field.
  • Experience in liaison and coordination across multiple office locations is required.
  • Should hold an MBBS degree.
  • Background in corporate offices, hospitals, or offshore installations is preferred.
  • Additional emergency training, postgraduate qualification, diploma, or AFIH certification is expected.

The role is based in Guwahati, Assam, India, and is a full-time onsite position.
