Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Education Counsellor specializing in Medical Education to assist aspiring medical students and their families with admissions to medical programs such as MBBS, BDS, MD/MS, and allied health courses in India and overseas. This job involves direct communication through both face-to-face and digital channels, managing leads, and providing complete support throughout the admission journey.
Primary Duties
- Advise students and parents on suitable medical courses and institutions based on academic profiles, NEET scores, budgets, and preferences.
- Conduct counselling sessions in person at the office and remotely via telephone, WhatsApp, or video conferencing.
- Clarify eligibility requirements, fee details, admission timelines, and guidelines from regulatory bodies like the NMC.
- Handle outbound cold and warm calls to prospective students and parents, along with managing inbound inquiries professionally and scheduling counselling appointments.
- Keep detailed records of interactions, follow-ups, and communication in CRM systems or spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
- Assist students with completing admission application forms, documentation, and meeting submission deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams, educational institutions, and partners to obtain offer letters and confirm admissions.
- Guide students regarding visa processes, medical testing, and travel arrangements as necessary.
- Foster trust through honest counselling addressing parental concerns about safety, education quality, degree recognition, and career opportunities.
- Meet monthly and seasonal admission goals and report on progress regularly.
- Engage in ongoing professional development via training sessions, counselling workshops, and recruitment events.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A graduate degree in any field; candidates with backgrounds in Education, Science, or Healthcare are preferred.
- Experience in education counselling or medical admissions is advantageous.
- Proficient communication skills in English and regional languages such as Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
- Comfortable with sales-driven activities including cold calling and lead management.
- Ability to demystify complex processes in an empathetic and understandable manner.
- Familiarity with basic computer software including MS Excel, CRM tools, WhatsApp, and email platforms.
Compensation
The monthly salary for this position ranges between 15,000 and 60,000 INR.
Location
This full-time role is based in Marathahalli, Bangalore with onsite working requirements.
