Role Overview
The Media Operations Manager is responsible for the daily execution of digital marketing campaigns, collaborating closely with Digital Strategists to translate media strategies into concrete campaign activities. This position requires both practical operational involvement and emerging strategic insight, ensuring campaigns launch flawlessly, operate efficiently, and align closely with client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operational management of assigned client accounts from onboarding to launch and continuous campaign optimization.
- Collaborate with Digital Strategists in campaign planning, asset collection, readiness verification, and managing campaign changes, applying a strong understanding of media planning to ensure accurate execution.
- Act as a dependable client liaison for campaign operations, co-leading onboarding calls, coordinating logistics, and addressing operational inquiries.
- Maintain effective communication channels among strategists, specialized media teams, creative personnel, vendors, and clients.
- Work directly with Digital Strategists on media plan development, incorporating insights from specialized teams and operational perspectives on budgets, schedules, and implementation feasibility.
- Perform moderate to complex updates and adjustments to media plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support forecasting, budget management, pacing updates, and fund allocation throughout active campaigns.
- Manage campaign setup, trafficking coordination, launch preparation, creative updates, vendor-managed initiatives, landing page creation, and tracking system implementation.
- Ensure all assets, targeting parameters, tracking tools, creative materials, and documentation are precise and strategy-consistent throughout campaign lifecycles.
- Handle forecasting responsibilities and coordinate timelines across multiple simultaneous client campaigns.
- Identify and implement improvements to workflows, documentation, communication, and coordination processes.
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring of Media Operations Associates.
- Contribute to the development of process enhancements, AI-driven workflows, and best operational practices within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in digital media operations, campaign management, media planning support, or digital marketing.
- Preferred agency experience.
- Preferred experience in media planning assistance, forecasting, and client-facing campaign management.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple client engagements simultaneously without oversight.
- Strong communication skills with confidence to lead client discussions and present recommendations clearly.
- Ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality or deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of digital media planning, budgeting, forecasting, and campaign execution.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, campaign measurement, and implementation tactics.
- Proficiency with project management software, AI-enabled workflows, and other productivity-enhancing technologies.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex campaign logistics challenges.
