Position Summary
The Social Media Specialist role focuses on managing paid social media advertising campaigns for higher education clients. This includes setting up accounts and campaigns, audience targeting, budget and bid management, and continuous testing. The position also involves mentoring Social Media Associates through training and feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage social media advertising accounts and campaigns across various platforms, adhering to the latest industry standards.
- Consistently optimize campaigns on a monthly basis to achieve peak performance.
- Review and support Social Media Associates' campaign tasks, providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve outcomes.
- Analyze monthly campaign data utilizing platform insights and Looker Studio dashboards to produce client-facing performance reports.
- Offer actionable recommendations based on data trends to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with team members, contributing ideas for enhancing processes, adopting best practices, and experimenting with new ideas or services.
- Stay updated on current trends in paid social media, sharing relevant information and platform updates within the team.
- Participate in creating content such as blogs, webinars, and internal/external resources that support social media marketing knowledge.
- Support the training of Paid Social Media Associates and Specialists as part of supervisory duties.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; majors or concentrations in Marketing or Advertising are preferred.
- Basic familiarity with the digital marketing ecosystem.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- At least two years of relevant professional or internship experience within digital marketing.
- Preferred experience includes data analysis related to digital campaign metrics.
- Experience with managing paid campaigns on platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Snapchat Business Manager, and TikTok Ads.
- Knowledge of project management tools like Asana is advantageous.
