Support and Professional Development

Our district acknowledges that we operate on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territories of the Secwepemc, Tsilhqot’tin, and Dakelh peoples. We are committed to respect and inclusion of the indigenous languages and cultures associated with this land.

New teachers with 0-2 years of experience receive structured mentorship to facilitate their professional growth. Those with more experience may also access mentorship opportunities as detailed in our collective agreement.

We provide professional development beyond contractual obligations by partnering with multiple educational leaders who offer coaching sessions both in classrooms and as focused workshops, including evenings or scheduled professional development days.

The Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers' Association actively supports members by advocating for strong professional development provisions and funding opportunities.
