Job description
Position Overview
This role involves teaching Woodwork to students in grades 8 through 12 on a full-time, continuing basis starting September 1, 2026.
Compensation
The salary is determined according to the current salary grid, factoring in verification of your British Columbia Teacher Qualification Service (BC TQS) status and years of service from previous employment. The annual salary range spans from $63,347 to $116,190, disbursed over a 10-month period.
Required Qualifications
- Professional training and/or demonstrable experience teaching Woodwork at the secondary education level.
- A valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch.
- A Bachelor of Education specialized in Trades Technology.

Support and Professional Development

Additionally, the district offers professional development beyond standard collective agreement terms by engaging up to six educational leaders. These leaders provide hands-on coaching within classrooms and through workshops prior to designated Professional Development Days.
The associated teachers' union, the Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers' Association, further enhances professional development through strong provisions and financial support.
