Role Overview
The Mass Inventory Analyst will own forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment analysis, and reporting for major mass retail partners, especially Walmart and Target. This position works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and retailer inventory teams to keep forecasts accurate, inventory movement aligned, and business results well understood.
Core Responsibilities
- Build forecast plans together with Walmart and Target planning teams.
- Maintain internal forecasts for Walmart and Target at both item level and total business level, ensuring they match retailer account strategies.
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for Walmart and Target inventory analysts and replenishment managers.
- Develop and maintain ladder plans for Walmart and Target to support proper inventory flow and timely purchase order creation.
- Deliver detailed forecasting and inventory reporting to the Purchasing team to help guide domestic inventory flow planning.
- Work with GFE on import purchase orders, forecast revisions, and updates from factories.
- Review Walmart Connect and Roundel campaign performance to inform future marketing spend and business decisions.
- Analyze promotional results and suggest ways to improve future performance.
- Gather and study POS data across retail and e-commerce channels to identify trends and opportunities for new listings and broader assortment.
- Prepare ad hoc reports, insights, and recommendations to support changing business needs and overall company goals.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with item setup work during busy quoting and planning periods, once trained on internal systems and workflows.
- Prepare and review ad hoc Circana reports when required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent amount of relevant work experience.
- Background in inventory planning, forecasting, analytics, supply chain, sales support, or a similar function preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and handling data sets.
- Ability to juggle several projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Well-developed organization skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Experience with retail customers, inventory platforms, or reporting tools is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms for analysis, reporting, and productivity is a plus.
