Role Overview
The Vice President of North American Marketing will own the full marketing function for North America and steer the region’s go-to-market approach across the Goliath portfolio. This position will oversee integrated marketing for Toys, Games, Compounds, and future growth categories while working closely with Sales and the Global Brand Marketing team.
The role is also responsible for translating global brand direction into effective North American execution. Brand Marketing defines the product and global brand vision, while this leader ensures those products and brands are launched and promoted successfully across North America through strong marketing execution.
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Shape and direct the North American go-to-market plan across all brands and product groups.
- Create integrated launch plans for new products and important brand programs.
- Convert global brand direction into campaigns and execution tailored to the North American market.
- Support consumer demand, retail excitement, and sell-through performance.
- Work in close partnership with Brand Marketing to align with product strategy and regional needs.
- Partner with Sales, Insights, and Commercial teams to strengthen market impact.
Advertising & Media
- Lead advertising strategy and execution throughout North America.
- Oversee linear TV, digital, social, retail media, influencer, and performance marketing efforts.
- Manage media agencies, creative partners, and marketing budgets.
- Measure campaign results, ROI, and opportunities to improve performance.
Public Relations & Communications
- Direct North American PR strategy and execution.
- Handle product launch communications, media relations, and corporate messaging.
- Develop relationships with media, influencers, licensors, and industry partners.
- Support executive visibility and thought leadership opportunities.
- Guide crisis communications planning when required.
Social Media & Community Management
- Oversee social media strategy and execution for all brands.
- Manage content planning, publishing, engagement, and community activity.
- Develop partnerships with influencers and creators.
- Keep brands relevant, engaging, and culturally connected.
- Track trends, new platforms, and changing consumer behavior.
Trade Shows & Events
- Lead North American trade shows, customer events, and showroom experiences.
- Participate in key customer presentations and line reviews.
- Present marketing strategies, launch plans, and consumer insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Own planning and execution for Toy Fair, customer previews, and industry activations.
- Work with Sales and Brand Marketing to build memorable customer presentations and experiences.
Team Leadership
- Build, coach, and lead a strong North American marketing team.
- Promote a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture.
- Manage agency partners and department budgets.
- Set clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations.
- Improve operational effectiveness across the marketing organization.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of marketing leadership experience.
- Background in toys, games, entertainment, or consumer products is preferred.
- Strong command of advertising, digital marketing, PR, social media, and event marketing.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated go-to-market initiatives.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and creative abilities.
- Excellent leadership and presentation capabilities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
