Role Overview

The Vice President of North American Marketing will own the region’s full marketing function and shape the go-to-market approach for the Goliath portfolio. This leader will guide integrated marketing across toys, games, compounds, and future growth categories while working closely with Sales and the Global Brand Marketing team.

Working in close partnership with the Head of Global Brand Marketing, this role will ensure that global brand direction is translated into effective North American execution. Brand Marketing sets the product and global vision, while this position focuses on launching and scaling those brands successfully in the North American market through strong marketing delivery.

Go-to-Market Strategy

This role is accountable for North American go-to-market planning across all brands and categories, including the creation of launch plans for new products and major brand initiatives. It requires turning global brand strategy into campaigns that connect with consumers, energize retailers, and improve sell-through results.

  • Set the regional go-to-market direction for all brands and categories.
  • Build integrated launch strategies for new products and key brand programs.
  • Convert global brand vision into effective North American campaigns and market execution.
  • Increase consumer demand, retail enthusiasm, and sales velocity.
  • Work with Brand Marketing to align product strategy with North American market needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Insights, and Commercial teams to maximize impact in the market.

Advertising and Media

The position owns advertising strategy and execution across North America, spanning traditional and digital channels as well as retailer-facing media and influencer activity. It also includes budget oversight, agency management, and performance optimization.

  • Direct all North American advertising planning and delivery.
  • Oversee linear TV, digital, social, retail media, influencer, and performance marketing efforts.
  • Manage media agencies, creative partners, and marketing budgets.
  • Measure campaign results, return on investment, and opportunities for improvement.

Public Relations and Communications

This leader will guide regional PR and communication efforts, including product launches, media engagement, and corporate messaging. The role also includes developing key relationships and supporting executive visibility.

  • Lead PR strategy and execution across North America.
  • Manage launch communications, media outreach, and corporate messaging.
  • Develop relationships with media, influencers, licensors, and industry partners.
  • Support executive visibility and thought leadership activity.
  • Oversee crisis communications planning when required.

Social Media and Community Management

The role is responsible for social strategy across brands, including content planning, publishing, audience engagement, and community care. It also requires staying current on trends and new platforms to keep brands culturally relevant.

  • Own social media strategy and delivery for all brands.
  • Oversee content calendars, publishing, engagement, and community management.
  • Build partnerships with influencers and creators.
  • Keep brands relevant, engaging, and culturally connected.
  • Track trends, new platforms, and shifts in consumer behavior.

Trade Shows and Events

This position leads North American trade shows, customer events, and showroom experiences. It involves presenting marketing plans and consumer insights to stakeholders and partnering with Sales and Brand Marketing to create compelling customer-facing experiences.

  • Lead trade shows, customer events, and showroom activations in North America.
  • Participate in customer presentations and line reviews.
  • Present launch plans, marketing strategies, and consumer insights to internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee planning and execution for Toy Fair, customer previews, and industry events.
  • Work with Sales and Brand Marketing to deliver impactful presentations and experiences.

Team Leadership

The role calls for building and guiding a strong regional marketing team in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting. It also includes managing budgets, agencies, goals, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Background in toys, games, entertainment, or consumer products is preferred.
  • Strong experience in advertising, digital marketing, PR, social media, and event marketing.
  • Track record of leading integrated go-to-market programs.
  • Solid analytical, strategic, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership and presentation abilities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
