Job description

Company Overview

Tilt is pioneering a new approach to online commerce focused on dynamic and community-driven experiences. We aim to make commerce lively and engaging by supporting merchants who thrive on attention, personality, and culture rather than just transactional sales. Across the UK, our platform has empowered sellers from various niches, such as sneaker enthusiasts and collectors, to achieve significant financial milestones, including earnings of over £1M and surpassing median incomes.

Role Overview

As the Marketing Lead for the Fashion vertical at Tilt, you will work closely with the VP of Categories & Expansion to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to this sector. Your responsibilities will span managing budgets, coordinating campaigns across channels, and leveraging innovative tools unique to our platform, such as clips and agentic search features, to drive engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the fashion category's buyers, sellers, and competitive landscape during the first three months.
  • Design and execute marketing strategies encompassing paid media, organic growth, and digital content for fashion.
  • Manage and maintain a robust marketing calendar that ensures frequent and meaningful user engagement opportunities.
  • Initiate and oversee community-building events and in-person experiences targeting both buyers and sellers.
  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end Fashion marketing strategy, including campaign planning, execution, and optimization beyond three months.
  • Introduce influencer marketing initiatives aimed at acquiring first-time buyers.
  • Create a scalable and repeatable content and campaign engine rather than ad hoc efforts.
  • Continuously refine marketing approaches based on deep insights into user behavior and preferences.
  • Analyze campaign performance and allocate resources toward the most effective initiatives.
  • Expand the scope of responsibility over time, including increased budget and team management aligned with category growth.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of three years’ experience managing and delivering brand, lifecycle, or content marketing campaigns end-to-end, including ownership and performance measurement.
  • A proactive mindset focused on action and iteration rather than waiting for perfect inputs.
  • Strong creative intuition and a record of successful campaigns.
  • Competence with data-driven decision-making and familiarity with key marketing metrics such as CAC, LTV, and conversion rates.
  • Experience in formulating marketing strategies from the ground up, not just executing pre-existing plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills capable of handling multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Passionate about fashion, streetwear, vintage styles, and related communities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to marketing search or discovery technology like agentic search and recommendation engines.
  • Experience revitalizing declining or underperforming product categories.
  • Knowledge of live commerce, marketplace dynamics, or community-driven growth tactics.

Why Join Tilt?

  • Gain hands-on experience across brand, lifecycle, and content marketing channels early in your career.
  • Learn from seasoned senior leaders and have meaningful ownership from the outset.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and executive teams, with your insights influencing decisions.
  • Become part of a mission-focused, well-funded startup culture.
  • Work alongside intelligent, curious, and supportive colleagues.
  • Contribute to transforming the shopping experience for millions of users.
