Job description

Role Overview

This position involves leading initiatives in artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation to drive transformation within the public sector. The role requires developing and executing AI strategies, supporting Public Service Transformation (PST) projects, and fostering partnerships to enhance government effectiveness and citizen services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI strategies and capability-building programs to support public sector transformation efforts.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can enhance service delivery, organizational efficiency, and workforce productivity.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute AI-PST projects and pilots in collaboration with multiple government agencies and Whole-of-Government partners.
  • Create practical resources, frameworks, and guidelines to encourage responsible and effective AI adoption across the Public Service.
  • Monitor AI trends, innovations, and public sector practices to inform policy formulation and future program development.
  • Design and conduct workshops, learning journeys, and communities of practice to build capabilities and encourage engagement in AI initiatives.
  • Lead innovation programs and platforms such as the Innovation Hub that foster experimentation, collaboration, and problem-solving within the Public Service.
  • Curate innovation challenges and collaborative projects aligned with public sector priorities.
  • Forge and nurture partnerships with government bodies, academic institutions, industry, and technology providers to strengthen the AI and innovation ecosystem.
  • Plan and support innovation-related events, showcases, and strategic collaborations.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to achieve alignment and momentum in AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Manage multi-workstream projects ensuring timely delivery, governance, and high-quality results.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program impact and suggest improvements.

  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, co-creation, and adaptive leadership, especially in ambiguous and evolving environments.

Additional Information

Successful applicants will typically be informed about their shortlisting status within four weeks after the application deadline. Employment will begin with a two-year contract. The position is full-time and based onsite in Singapore.
