Job description
Role Overview
The position involves designing and executing policies and strategies to boost volunteerism for national defence, contributing to the overall mission of strengthening Singapore's defence commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create structured plans and frameworks that guide volunteer partnerships and engagement within the Singapore Defence Volunteer Network.
- Motivate volunteers to actively support and promote Singapore's security and success.
- Collaborate extensively with stakeholders and partners across Ministry of Defence and SAF units along with private, public, and people sectors to align policies and engagement efforts.
- Maintain ongoing interest and confidence in volunteer initiatives without compromising strategic long-term objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Preferred educational background in Mass Communication, Arts, or Social Sciences.
- Proficient command of spoken and written English.
- Skilled in strategic planning, effective networking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Possess strong interpersonal abilities with a professional, attentive, and courteous manner.
- Capable of engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Can work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Innovative and receptive to challenges, able to perform efficiently under pressure.
- Competent at juggling multiple tasks and meeting stringent deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Open to candidates with no prior experience.
