Role Overview

We are seeking a Manager, Social Media for Vogue Business focusing on expanding the membership audience and driving growth of paid memberships. The role demands extensive expertise in social platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and X, along with a keen eye for emerging social media trends and technologies. The ideal candidate will deeply understand the Vogue Business editorial voice and visual style, crafting engaging social-first content that aligns with the brand’s premium image. Collaboration with editorial and social media teams is key to shaping strategies and executing posts that maximize membership growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, schedule, and optimize daily content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and WhatsApp.
  • Develop social media copy that reflects Vogue Business’s unique tone and storytelling standards while gathering assets cross-functionally.
  • Conceptualize and strategize innovative social video series, including light video editing.
  • Select compelling imagery and video from image banks, Getty, and Vogue-owned collections to engage audiences.
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to promote stories, special series, events, and content packages on social platforms.
  • Coordinate with commercial teams to implement sales-driven social content according to client agreements.
  • Partner with marketing to unify social voice and visuals across paid and organic campaigns, engaging agencies where necessary.
  • Propose social content strategies aligned with editorial goals, including new social angles and extensions for print and digital.
  • Manage Vogue Business’s digital member communities within the Vogue App, focusing on member acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Develop creative assets and produce briefs for a variety of social media platforms.
  • Work with audience development teams to brainstorm and implement audience testing plans.
  • Attend events for live social coverage and respond dynamically to breaking news for social posting.
  • Monitor social conversations and create reactive content to boost engagement on major platforms.
  • Plan and execute social strategies around flagship events like the Met Gala, Vogue World, VB Summit, and both global and local stories.
  • Analyze content performance, delivering insights and best practices to Vogue and Condé Nast’s digital and audience teams.
  • Maintain social media content calendars aligned with key tentpoles, event schedules, and editorial plans.
  • Engage audiences through meaningful, relationship-focused communication.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of three years’ experience managing social media.
  • Strong passion for current and emerging social media platforms with proven audience growth experience.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends and translating those into effective brand content.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools and ability to create engaging short-form video content.
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop for creating and adapting high-quality visual assets.
  • Knowledge of social video formats and content strategies is preferred.
  • Positive team player attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with Vogue Business’s editorial style and tone of voice.
  • Excellent writing and communication capabilities.
  • Analytical skills to interpret social media metrics and guide strategy adjustments.
  • Expertise in optimizing social content for engagement and traffic.
  • Sound editorial judgment with high organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize information promptly and clearly.
  • Prepared to complete writing and video editing assessments as part of the selection process.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
