About the Role
This role is a direct search led by Bacardi to find a Manager Sales for the West Bengal region, headquartered in Kolkata. Applications from agencies will not be accepted, and no fees will be paid for unsolicited resumes.
Responsibilities
- Achieve key financial objectives including Net Sales Value (NSV), Gross Margin, overhead cost control, profitability, return on investment, and value share.
- Meet the Pictures of Success targets, ensuring surveys are completed while collaborating closely with customers and distributors to maintain high standards of execution excellence.
- Prepare and implement sales plans tailored to your specific territory, aligned with Commercial priorities and the Country Integrated Activity Plan (IAP).
- Establish long-lasting partnerships with customers and distributors, positioning yourself as the primary company contact within the state.
- Oversee, mentor, and provide feedback to frontline sales teams regarding individual performance, client relations, and monitoring of competitors' activities.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers to gather feedback for product and service improvements and resolve daily operational issues.
- Devise short and long-term sales strategies for the area based on consumer insights and market analysis while managing budgets and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with Excise authorities as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership in sales roles managing multiple territories or states with responsibility for strategic revenue and profit growth decisions.
- Strong capabilities in managing all financial aspects, including budget control with P&L responsibility, and channel strategy development to optimize brand, packaging, and channel mix for NSV and volume growth.
- Exceptional commercial insight with a deep understanding of marketing functions, combined with adaptability to dynamic markets and the ability to swiftly seize market opportunities.
- Preferably experienced in the beverages, FMCG, or alcoholic beverage sectors, particularly within drinks and lifestyle categories.
- Competent in developing teams and fostering diversity in thought.
- Robust negotiation skills complemented by firsthand experience in field sales.
