The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) works to accelerate cures for inherited blood and bleeding disorders while also reducing and preventing related complications through research, education, and advocacy. Its goal is to help individuals and families live well and thrive.

About the Role

NBDF is looking for a Manager of Education to lead national health education efforts that support people living with bleeding disorders and the communities around them. Reporting to the Director of Education, this position blends program leadership, health education, partnership building, and team support to create meaningful educational programs and tools for audiences nationwide.

In this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, community leaders, volunteers, chapters, and internal partners to design and deliver programs that improve awareness, support informed choices, and encourage better health outcomes. The work may include initiatives tied to emerging therapies, health equity, healthy living across the lifespan, conference programming, and the broader evolution of NBDF’s education strategy.

Program Leadership and Management

• Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of education, awareness, and outreach efforts for people affected by bleeding disorders and their support systems.
• Track progress, contribute to evaluation activities, and identify ways to improve program effectiveness.
• Own assigned projects from planning through delivery, including deadlines, reporting, and coordination across team members.
• Offer input on program priorities and related budgets.
• Assist with educational content and programming for NBDF’s Bleeding Disorders Conference and other national initiatives.

Education, Training, and Resource Development

• Create educational materials in print, digital, video, and social media formats.
• Develop health education strategies, tools, and resources that chapters and community partners can use to support affected individuals and families.
• Plan and deliver workshops, presentations, and learning sessions for community members, caregivers, and support networks.
• Build and run training programs for volunteers, facilitators, and others involved in education delivery.

Community Engagement and Partnerships

• Maintain strong working relationships with Hemophilia Treatment Centers, healthcare providers, chapters, consumers, and other stakeholders.
• Support volunteer working groups that help shape and advance educational initiatives.
• Create partnerships with organizations and companies to broaden awareness, education, and outreach.
• Take part in international collaboration and knowledge-sharing when needed.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Coach, guide, and support colleagues, volunteers, and stakeholders to strengthen education efforts and collaboration.
• Work with teams across NBDF on communications, educational campaigns, conference programming, and other organizational priorities.

Working Arrangement

This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a distributed team. The role includes regular domestic travel, including overnight trips and occasional weekend travel for chapter events, workshops, and NBDF’s annual Bleeding Disorders Conference.

Compensation

The starting base salary for this role is set at $70,000 to $80,000. This range is fixed and not open to negotiation, as NBDF aims to maintain internal pay equity and a consistent compensation structure.
