Overview
A fast-growing consumer brand in the health and wellness category is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager of Brand Strategy & Communications to help guide the next phase of its brand growth. This is a remote U.S. role with travel expected about three times per year.

The role is highly visible and reports directly to senior marketing leadership. It offers broad ownership across brand positioning, messaging, integrated communications, and public relations for a national business expanding quickly across Amazon, retail, direct-to-consumer, and earned media channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and steward the company’s brand strategy, positioning, and messaging across all consumer-facing channels.
- Create clear, differentiated messaging systems that turn business priorities into consumer-ready communication.
- Drive integrated brand initiatives spanning Amazon, retail, DTC, PR, social media, and broader marketing campaigns.
- Prepare strategic creative briefs that align cross-functional partners on goals, audience insights, and core messaging.
- Work closely with Creative, Product, R&D, Growth Marketing, and eCommerce teams to support campaign execution and product launches.
- Own the public relations strategy, including management of external agency partners and identification of new storytelling angles.
- Lead messaging for innovation launches and other major business initiatives.
- Supervise one direct report while coordinating work across internal stakeholders and agency teams.
- Operate comfortably in a lean, fast-paced environment, balancing long-term strategy with hands-on delivery.
Requirements
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand marketing, integrated marketing, or brand communications.
- Background in a high-growth omnichannel CPG or consumer products business.
- Strong track record working across both Amazon and retail sales channels.
- Ability to define brand positioning and messaging frameworks rather than only executing pre-built campaigns.
- Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and messaging skills.
- Experience leading integrated marketing efforts across multiple customer touchpoints.
- Experience shaping PR strategy and working with outside agencies.
- Comfort working with small teams while influencing cross-functional partners.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to move between strategy and execution with ease.
- Pet industry experience is considered an advantage, though it is not required.
Additional Information
Remote work is available within the United States. The role involves approximately three trips per year. Compensation is described as competitive and includes a bonus component.
