Role overview

A privately owned consumer brand with a long operating history is looking for a senior eCommerce leader to drive its next stage of direct-to-consumer expansion. The company is investing strongly in digital capabilities, customer experience, and marketing to support growth across a portfolio of nationally known brands.

This is a high-visibility leadership position for someone who has already built, improved, or reshaped a DTC business. The role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and carries ownership of digital commerce strategy, revenue acceleration, and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Set and execute the overall DTC plan across the company’s Shopify environment.
  • Improve revenue through better conversion, merchandising, acquisition, retention, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Oversee the customer experience from initial purchase through repeat engagement and loyalty.
  • Work closely with Brand, Creative, Social, Product Innovation, Amazon, Operations, and Customer Service teams to create a smooth omnichannel experience.
  • Assess site performance, digital merchandising, and overall customer journey quality, then implement improvements.
  • Use data, analytics, AI, and new technologies to strengthen acquisition, engagement, and conversion outcomes.
  • Manage internal team members and outside agency partners while contributing to the shape of the future digital team.
  • Build strategic plans and share recommendations with executive leadership.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in eCommerce.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling or transforming a DTC business with clear business results.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify and contemporary eCommerce systems.
  • Solid command of CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer retention, and loyalty programs.
  • Track record of improving key metrics such as conversion rate, average order value, acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional work and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in consumer products, CPG, wellness, fitness, apparel, beauty, lifestyle, or a similar digitally driven consumer brand is preferred.
  • A practical, builder-oriented mindset that combines strategy with execution.
