Job description
Overview
A fast-scaling natural foods business with category leadership is hiring a Director of Operations to own the full supply chain from planning through procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. This is a senior leadership role with direct responsibility for creating repeatable, scalable operating systems that can support expansion across retail, eCommerce, distributor, and marketplace channels.
The organization already has a strong market position and is in a phase of meaningful growth. The right person will be comfortable operating hands-on while also shaping strategy, building infrastructure, and improving execution across the business.

Responsibilities
- Direct all supply chain operations, covering planning, buying, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Strengthen and manage the S&OP cycle, demand and inventory planning, forecasting, and supply coordination.
- Own supplier partnerships, negotiate contracts, and lead purchasing strategy.
- Oversee in-house production as well as relationships with co-manufacturing partners.
- Improve the use of ERP systems, MRP planning, and core operating workflows.
- Manage warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, and customer delivery performance.
- Build, guide, and develop an expanding operations team.
- Reduce costs, raise service levels, and create systems that can scale with growth.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Quality, and Marketing teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in operations or supply chain roles within CPG, food, or a similar industry.
- Background spanning manufacturing, procurement, planning, and logistics.
- Strong command of forecasting, inventory control, and S&OP.
- Experience managing co-packers, 3PL providers, and overseas suppliers.
- Understanding of retail and distributor supply chains, including large national accounts.
- Proven negotiation ability, analytical thinking, and leadership capability.
- Track record of succeeding in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments.
