Role overview

This position is part of the Security & Loss Prevention function, whose purpose is to safeguard people, assets, and operational continuity across the end-to-end supply chain. The role is hands-on, detail-focused, and centered on providing security support as a service to operational sites.

What you will do

• Help strengthen business resilience by supporting emergency and crisis planning for sites in your assigned area.
• Spot possible vulnerabilities such as loss exposure, associate experience issues, and process gaps, then help define practical corrective actions while staying aligned with legal and ethical requirements.
• Act as a local contact point and coordinate risk-reduction measures with site leadership and outside stakeholders such as law enforcement and industry groups on security matters.
• Make sure assigned sites follow Amazon’s global security standards.
• Lead security and loss-prevention projects at local, regional, and country level.
• Carry out regular physical security audits, review policy breaches, investigate incidents and loss events, and gather information through systems, data reports, and interviews.
• Track findings, identify root causes, and drive actions that reduce recurring risks.
• Monitor the condition of physical security systems, work with subject matter experts and external vendors to keep them functioning, and help improve security infrastructure.
• Contribute to budget planning for external security suppliers and work closely with service providers to ensure strong security delivery and a smooth customer experience.
• Deliver awareness sessions and loss-prevention training for teams across different management levels and support the rollout of the Security and Loss Prevention plan.

Team and mission

You will be part of the Global Security Operations organization. The team helps Amazon meet business goals and protect its brand by reducing security and loss-prevention risks that could endanger associates or customers, interrupt operations, damage assets, or harm reputation. The work includes preventing risks early, responding to active incidents to limit impact, and investigating security events thoroughly to remove root causes and avoid repeat issues.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a degree or an equivalent qualification. Strong English speaking, writing, and reading skills are preferred.
