Role Overview
Norwich City Football Club is recruiting a part-time London Academy Scout for flexible, casual engagements. The position primarily involves discovering talented U13 to U16 players within the grassroots football scene across London. Candidates should reside within the M25 motorway area and possess comprehensive knowledge and strong affiliations with local grassroots football groups.
Main Duties
The scout will provide consistent coverage of grassroots football matches, identify promising players suitable for the club's Category One Academy, and generate detailed, insightful player evaluations. This role contributes meaningfully to Norwich City's talent recruitment and development objectives.
Candidate Profile and Essentials
- In-depth familiarity with London grassroots football
- Established links with local football clubs and coaches
- Self-driven, dependable, and well-organized
- Able to work effectively alone and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient with IT tools for reporting
- Holds a full UK driving license
Prior scouting experience of at least one year is advantageous but not mandatory. The emphasis is on talent recognition and community engagement skills.
Remuneration and Incentives
Successful candidates will receive an hourly wage alongside eligibility for the club’s scouting bonus program, rewarding outstanding performance.
