Job description
Role Overview
Norwich City Football Club invites applications for proactive and customer-oriented individuals to join their Operations team as Matchday/Events Safety Stewards. The position involves delivering excellent service during home matchdays and events, ensuring adherence to club values and safety standards across the stadium.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of safety by encouraging safer working practices and recognizing safeguarding as a collective duty
- Deliver exceptional customer service representing the club
- Provide accurate venue information and maintain comprehensive knowledge of assigned areas
- Investigate and report crowd-related issues and participate in effective crowd management
- Conduct pre-event checks and participate in briefings
- Enhance guest integration and service standards
- Manage crowds and queues, confidently issuing verbal instructions when necessary
- Carry out ticket verification and warmly welcome visitors
- Enforce stadium regulations diligently
- Respond promptly to incidents, including preparing follow-up reports as needed
- Maintain static safety positions to protect both supporters and staff
- Ensure working areas remain clean, productive, and safe
- Complete NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety within 12 months, provided by the club
Candidate Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- Commitment to safety and customer service ethos
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check including DBS disclosure
