Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Logistics and Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team on a remote contract basis. This role involves thorough evaluation of logistics documentation, workflow analysis, and contributing to process enhancements within global supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and verify logistics records such as packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory registers for validity, precision, and adherence to industry standards.
- Create annotated sample documents exemplifying exemplary practices in supply chain and logistics management.
- Assess existing supply chain processes and recommend actionable improvements based on practical experience.
- Provide comprehensive feedback on documentation formats and operational efficiencies related to logistics scenarios.
- Work alongside project teams to clarify logistics requirements and articulate complex concepts in a comprehensible manner.
- Engage in quality checks by confirming the accuracy and relevance of supply chain data sets.
- Assist in developing instructional materials that reflect current industry norms and address intricate supply chain issues.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years' hands-on experience specifically with logistics and supply chain tasks involving packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory registers.
- Deep understanding of logistics workflows and comprehensive global supply chain functions.
- Proficiency in clear English communication for explaining complex technical information.
- Exceptional attention to detail when auditing and crafting supply chain documents.
- Strong analytical aptitude with a record of identifying and advising process improvements in logistics operations.
- A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related disciplines is highly advantageous.
- Capability to operate autonomously within a remote work setup and consistently produce quality outputs within deadlines.
