Job description
Role Overview
Spread Your Wings, LLC is looking for a part-time Independent Living Life Skills Coach in the Napa area. The position supports adults with developmental disabilities as they strengthen everyday living skills and work toward greater independence. Coverage will include Napa, Sonoma, and St. Helena.
Compensation and Schedule
The role pays $22 per hour. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday on a day-shift schedule.
What the Position Involves
- Guide clients through practical independent living skills such as meal preparation, money management, and personal hygiene.
- Offer encouragement, steady support, and motivation to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral concerns.
- Help create, organize, and track weekly goals and routines tailored to each client.
- Prepare and maintain case notes and quarterly progress reports.
- Spend most of the workweek in the field with clients, with a smaller portion dedicated to administrative and documentation tasks.
- Work closely with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation are required.
- You must be able to travel and work throughout the Napa, Sonoma, and St. Helena areas.
- A successful background check is required in line with state industry standards.
- You should be comfortable using a computer for Microsoft Word, email, and basic data entry.

- You genuinely enjoy helping others and treat people with respect and dignity.
- You communicate well, stay dependable, and can solve problems creatively.
- You can adjust to different client needs and work flexible hours when needed.
- You are comfortable working independently in one-on-one client settings.
- Experience in behavioral health is preferred but not mandatory.
