Job description
Role Overview
Spread Your Wings, LLC is looking for a part-time Independent Living / Life Skills Coach to support clients in the Salinas area. This position focuses on helping individuals with developmental disabilities strengthen their independence, confidence, and day-to-day functioning.
Work Schedule and Location
The role is based onsite in and around Salinas, California. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Compensation and Perks
- Pay is $21 per hour.

What You Will Be Doing
- Guide clients in building practical independent living abilities such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
- Motivate and encourage people with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Help clients set up weekly goals, routines, and schedules.
- Prepare and maintain progress documentation, including case notes and quarterly reports.
- Spend most of the workweek in the field with clients, with about 10% of time devoted to administrative tasks and documentation.
- Work closely with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation are required.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- You must be able to travel and work throughout the Salinas area.
- Passing a background check in line with state and industry standards is necessary.
- Basic computer skills are needed, including MS Word, email, and simple data entry.
