Role Overview
Spread Your Wings LLC is hiring a full-time Independent Living Life Skills Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in gaining confidence and independence in everyday routines. The role is based in the Cupertino, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas, with fieldwork across Cupertino, Saratoga, and East San Jose. This is a mission-driven opportunity for someone who enjoys working one-on-one, building trust, and helping others reach personal goals.
Work Schedule
The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with working hours from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. This is a day-shift role.
What You Will Do
- Teach and reinforce independent living abilities such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities, including those facing behavioral challenges, through encouragement and consistent guidance.
- Help clients design, organize, and follow weekly goals and routines.
- Document client progress regularly through case notes and quarterly reports.
- Spend most of the workday in the field with clients, with a smaller portion dedicated to administrative and documentation tasks.
- Work closely with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training personnel.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation are required.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- You must be able to travel and work in the Cupertino, Saratoga, and East San Jose areas.
- Applicants should be able to clear a background check in line with state and industry standards.
- Basic computer skills are needed, including Microsoft Word, email, and simple data entry.

- A caring, respectful attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems creatively.
- Reliability and comfort adapting to changing client needs.
- Confidence working independently in one-on-one settings.
- Experience in behavioral health is an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay is $22 per hour.
- Monday to Friday day-shift schedule.
