- Take the lead on drafting and negotiating important ESG partnership agreements and crafting policies, procedures, and training resources to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Keep abreast of new laws and industry best practices, assist with business impact analyses, support regulatory change initiatives, and maintain communication with regulators and other external stakeholders.
- Deliver thorough, prompt, and business-focused legal counsel related to pre-litigation strategies, claim management, and dispute resolution to secure favorable business results.
- Forge reliable and strategic relationships across the company, serving as a trusted legal advisor and influencing decisions at multiple organizational levels.
- Represent the legal function externally by managing outside counsel, overseeing budgets and schedules, and simplifying complex legal guidance for non-legal colleagues.
Candidate Profile

- Demonstrated commercial insight with excellent negotiation capabilities and adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proven hands-on experience in at least one key focus area: ESG or sustainability regulatory frameworks, regulatory compliance, or handling litigation and disputes.
- Track record in supporting strategic initiatives and compliance programs, contributing to their effective implementation.
- Capability to perform meticulous legal analysis while balancing commercial needs and strategic business goals.
