About the Role
Primark is searching for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to undertake vital process documentation projects within their distribution centre operations and finance sectors. The initial phase involves capturing detailed 'as-is' warehouse and order management procedures down to Level 4 detail. The subsequent phase will emphasize the mapping and standardizing of internal financial reconciliation processes.
This role supports the Fulfilment Centre, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and delivery networks by producing comprehensive process documentation that will serve as the fundamental reference for business and technology teams. This documentation will aid end-to-end testing, change implementation, operational preparedness, and continuous process enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders from business and technology teams to gather insights about warehouse operations and system workflows.
- Document the full spectrum of Fulfilment Centre operations including inbound logistics, inventory control, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and handling exceptions.
- Develop system process maps illustrating WMS interactions with other systems and the flow of information throughout the fulfilment lifecycle.
- Create clear Level 3 and Level 4 current-state business process maps adhering to BPMN standards.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations, Technology teams, and Solution Architects to ensure accuracy in process and data integration documentation.
- Assist testing teams by offering process maps for constructing and validating comprehensive business scenarios.
- Communicate process flows effectively to foster shared understanding among business and technical stakeholders.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve existing processes.
Requirements
- At least three years’ hands-on experience in a Business Analysis role or business relationship management within a digital environment.
- Proven experience in documenting business processes within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain contexts.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and warehouse operational processes.
- Expertise in developing process diagrams using tools such as Visio, Miro, or equivalent.
- Strong skills in workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
- Possession of a relevant degree, equivalent qualification, or comparable experience.
