Role overview

Cloudera is looking for a Legal Admin / Paralegal to join its legal function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position supports a global legal team and is a newly created role with a mix of administrative, operational, and legal responsibilities. The role will report to the Deputy General Counsel and SVP of Legal, who leads Cloudera’s global commercial legal work.

In addition to day-to-day legal support, the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across the legal department and wider business, and will take part in projects that help improve legal processes, tools, and internal ways of working.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the legal team with administrative work such as sending documents through DocuSign, arranging meetings, and organizing legal files, including contracts and shared knowledge materials.
  • Research legal topics and prepare concise summaries for the legal team.
  • Contribute to legal and cross-functional initiatives, including invoice review against billing rules, building and maintaining contract libraries, process-efficiency efforts such as legal team use of AI, legal training events, and drafting or updating intranet-based legal resources.
  • Review and negotiate NDAs, order forms, and statements of work.
  • Assist with customer contract negotiations.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve legal processes and plan practical workflow enhancements.

Requirements

  • Academic background in law or business.
  • Prior experience in a legal admin or paralegal role is preferred.
  • Project management experience is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work well with stakeholders across departments and regions.
  • Strong organizational ability and comfort handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
  • Self-driven, hardworking, and able to take initiative.
  • Strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills.
  • Interest in understanding how an in-house legal department operates.
  • Professional and respectful approach when dealing with internal and external contacts.
  • Legal work experience is preferred.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
