Role Overview
The position of Lecturer in Facilities Management offers a meaningful and challenging academic career. Candidates are expected to combine both knowledge and practical experience with enthusiasm for mentoring young talents and shaping their development. Opportunities include curriculum development, introduction of new courses, participation in consultancy and applied research projects, and involvement in administrative and strategic initiatives within the School and Institution.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, prepare instructional and evaluation materials, and mentor students effectively
- Develop and update existing curriculum and learning resources for the listed subjects
- Implement teaching methods that encourage learning and engagement
- Undertake projects or consultancy assignments with internal and external partners, particularly related to Smart Facilities Management
Candidate Requirements
- Possess relevant academic qualifications in Built Environment-related disciplines
- Have applicable practical experience in Facilities Management, ideally encompassing planning preventive, routine, and predictive maintenance for building infrastructure
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in integrating building systems, optimizing operations, and applying digital or smart technologies in facilities management
- Exhibit a strong passion for education and commitment to teaching and student mentorship
- Be self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Show excellent interpersonal skills alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Additional qualifications that will be advantageous include registration as a workplace safety and health officer, Certified Green Mark Professional (GMP), and Certified Fire Safety Manager
Contract
The successful candidate will initially be offered a two-year contract.
